Do you ever find that your day starts off with the best of intentions, you have your to do list and an action plan for the day. Then before you know it, it’s 5pm, the day is almost over, and you have hardly achieved anything that was on your to do list.
In fact the list has actually become longer, and you have even started to notice that some of the same activities are being carried over onto your new lists day in day out. Your frustration and overwhelm is greater, and running your dream business is starting to feel like a nightmare.
Where Is All Of Your Time Going Everyday?
We all have the same 24 hours so how come someone like Richard Branson is able to do what he does overseeing multiple businesses, teams, time zones, and his business empire grows from strength to strength.
It All Starts With Action.
Becoming aware of how you are spending your time. Over then next 7-Days I want to challenge you to track your work and leisure time. Create a Time Audit report like the one I created in the image below. Once that is complete you can start recording what you are doing every day for 7-Days.
Make A Note Of Every Thing, The Good And The Bad.
What time do you get up, exercise, eat, use social media for business and for pleasure, make calls business and personal.
Note everything down, the more detailed you can be the easier it will be to spot the patterns at the end of the 7-Days. You will find your answers in the patterns that you will spot. Don’t cheat yourself out of the results make sure you track your time for 7 full days.
“Efficiency is doing things right; effectiveness is doing the right things.” – Peter Drucker
What You Can Measure You Can Adjust.
Once you have completed taking note of where you time goes everyday, you can start to adjust the way you spend our time.
